Practical tips

Tips for visiting the temples in Thailand

  • To visit the temples you cannot have your shoulders or legs visible above the knee, so we recommend that you always carry a pashmina, sarong or sharon in your bag or backpack to cover your shoulders or the legs. If you don't carry it, you can buy it nearby.
  • To enter the temples in Thailand you have to take off your shoes, so a good tip is to wear shoes that are easy to put on and take off: sandals, flip-flops, flats...
  • You should also wear shoes. We recommend that you wear a cap or hat to protect yourself from the sun to avoid getting burned.
  • Turning your back on the Buddha image is disrespectful so if you want to take a photo, stand next to him or on your side. .
