Switzerland: from Geneva to Zurich

Arrival in Switzerland and free time. (Accommodation in Geneva or surroundings). Our guide will contact you at the end of the day.

After breakfast we include a panoramic tour of Geneva, a city next to Lake Geneva that is home to the European headquarters of the United Nations, the headquarters of the World Labor Organization, the Red Cross and numerous others. headquarters of international organizations. We will go to the Palace of Nations (headquarters of the United Nations in Europe), the beautiful English Garden with its flower clock and we will admire the “Jet d'Eau”, the highest fountain in Europe.

Continue through vineyard landscapes, to CHILLÓN CASTLE, built in the waters of Lake Leman. Entry included to this fantastic castle medieval. After that, we headed to the picturesque walled town of GRUYERES, known worldwide for its cheese. Very close are some of the main chocolate manufacturers in Switzerland (NESTLÉ among others), we visited the Cailler chocolate factory, sweet tasting included! We continue along small roads between bucolic mountain landscapes and typical wooden villages. Arrival at the end of the afternoon to LEYSIN, a beautiful holiday town. Dinner included.

We know LUGANO the cosmopolitan capital of Italian Switzerland next to its beautiful lake. Time to walk. After them we crossed the Saint Gotthard Pass. We stop in BURGLEN, the tiny town where William Tell was born, we will see the 16th century chapel with the paintings that illustrate his life, you can also visit, if you wish, the William Tell museum. In the neighboring city of ALTDORF we will also have memories of its history. LUCERNE, free afternoon to get to know this beautiful city next to the lake that has its name. We will propose, if you wish, an optional cruise on the lake of the four cantons, considered one of the most beautiful lakes in Switzerland.

We leave for EINSIEDELN, its immense baroque abbey is the main pilgrimage point in Switzerland. After that we continue towards the east of Switzerland. We passed by MAINFELD where Heidi's novel/story was inspired. In HEIDIDORF we will go to see Heidi's House (entrance to the house not included, free entry), a picturesque place among beautiful landscapes, which we access by a path pedestrian. We enter the small independent country of Liechtenstein, in its capital VADUZ, in the shadow of its castle, time to walk and have lunch. Later we go to the nearby city of FELDKIRCH, in Austria, next to the border with Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Germany; charming walled city with its beautiful medieval town and castle. Free time.

We will go out to St. GALLEN, its center has been declared a World Heritage Site with its magnificent cathedral and its medieval town. Later we followed Lake Constance, between Germany and Switzerland. A walk through the center of CONSTANZA before going to the island of MAINAU (access by pedestrian bridge) with its beautiful botanical garden (entrance included). After that, again in Switzerland I walked through STEIN AM RHEIN, a very picturesque town on the banks of the Rhine, beautiful houses with their painted walls. We also visit (entrance included) the Rhine Falls, the waterfalls with the highest flow in Europe. Arrival in ZURICH at the end of the day.
